Skill Gap Training and Assessment increases productivity, profit and staff retention.
At Future Force, our team has such a diverse range of work experience that most Logistics job functions have been performed by one or more of our team over many years of participation in entry-level, Supervisory and Senior Management roles.
This means that we are quickly able to assess the current capability of an individual, a group/team, department or company and make recommendations to train into these skill gaps. This may involve formal or on-the-job training and sometimes we may recommend additional ways of solving the issues, such as external staff development, revisions in SOPs or workplace systems or even re-allocation of manpower resources.
Indicators we have used to correct skill gaps through training:
· Anecdotal evidence of below-par performance
· Poor or consistently below target KPIs
· Demurrage or detention records
· Fines issued by regulatory authorities
· Admission of product knowledge weakness
We have found that the majority of these costly shortcomings can be ‘repaired’ through targeted training.
It’s what you don’t know that hurts you most!
